Hyundai Motor will introduce its first electric car in 2016

South Korean automaker Hyundai Motor Co. was planned to premiere of its first electric car this year but it was moved in order to present the novelty in auto show at the international exhibition on the island of Jeju Island, South Korea.

Creating cars working on fully electricity, Hyundai Motor Co. is trying to compete with the Japanese company Toyota. In addition, Chinese company BYD is going to introduce its electric car that can pass 400 km on a single charged battery at the exhibition in Jeju-do. Technical and aerodynamic specifications were not disclosed so far.

Perhaps, the company will cooperate with one of the leaders in the field of manufacturing electric engines.
